Road2Recovery Sportive

Sunday 18th September 2016

Kindly sponsored by

Another exciting new event for the Melton Mowbray area is our Road2Recovery Sportive which will take place on Sunday 18th September 2016 with the start and finish at the spectacular Eye Kettleby Lakes just outside Melton Mowbray.

There will be three courses of 20 miles, 47 miles and 70 miles but all will be using the peaceful roads and lanes in the beautiful countryside around the area with the vast majority of the routes seeing little traffic.

All the routes will have ample feed stations with signage and marshals where necessary. A sportive is not a race so timing chips will not be available but we will manually monitor start and finish times and you are welcome to record your own efforts on your phone or GPS device.

Under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult and Under 18's must submit a parental consent form.

At the finish we have a hog roast and soft drinks and your entry fee includes a complimentary hog roast/hot dog and drink as well as insurance through British Cycling.

Massages will be available at the finish provided by Graham Spencer and his team from www.grahamspencersportsmassage.co.uk with all donations going to NSIF.

Goody bags will be available for all pre-entries including snacks and a R2R buff and those entering

before 7th August will also receive a signed copy of Finding my Feet by Claire Lomas.

Mechanical Assistance on the day will be kindly provided by Windmill Wheels of Wymondham
