North West 200 Charity Lap

Thursday 11th May 2023

NW200 Bank.JPG

On Thursday 11th May 2023 Claire pulled on her 'brave pants' as she completed a lap of the famous 8.9 mile international road race course. Claire had been invited to do a charity lap at the largest outdoor sporting event in Northern Ireland which attracts 150000 spectators.

You may think riding a motorbike isn't a physically demanding challenge as it has an engine but out of all the sports Claire has done, this one tires her the most. With that in mind, as well as making sure she was confident to negotiate the twists and turns on the course, she was out out on track days from March building up her strength and ability.

As usual, Claire tried to raise as much money as possible to help rewrite the future of a spinal cord injury which doesn't just affect the person injured but their loved ones too. She held an online auction to start the fundraising and will continue to hold other auctions throughout this year and next so please email claireschallenge@mail.com if you are able to help or if you can spare a pound or two then that would be amazing - please click on the box below for her Just Giving page
