Road2Recovery Charity Rideout
In support of Claire's charity laps during the Bennetts British Superbike Series
We are pleased to report on another successful R2R Charity Rideout which took place on Sunday 1st September. The weather was kind once again with sunny skies but fortunately not the ridiculously high temperatures!.
Everyone checked in at Wistow Rural Centre where we enjoyed a great start to the day with bacon rolls and drinks from the Wistow Cafe Bistro and around 11:15am there were 130 leaving on the rideout back to the beautiful setting of Eye Kettleby Lakes. Here we enjoyed a fantastic hog roast provided by Bowler Roasters Hog Roast together with ice cream, cakes and hot and cold drinks.
We were supported with some great raffle prizes and the day has raised over £2000 for our charities.
Many thanks to everyone who took part, helped with the day and provided raffle prizes and we hope to make it even bigger and better next year.
Sunday 1st September 2019 sees our 5th Road2Recovery Charity Rideout.
We have decided to switch the direction for our 5th event by starting at the Wistow Rural Centre (LE8 0QF) where there will be bacon rolls and drinks available. Our journey will take us through Market Harborough, Rockingham, Uppingham, Oakham and Melton Mowbray before arriving at the wonderful setting at Eye Kettleby Lakes.
At Eye Kettleby Lakes we will have food and drinks available including a fantastic Hog Roast.
We will leave from Wistow Rural Centre at 11am and will arrive at Eye Kettleby Lakes around 1pm.
